Governor McDonnell Announces Settlement Agreement With the U.S. Department of Justice on Virginia’s Intellectual and Developmental Disability System

Governor McDonnell Asks General Assembly to Keep Uranium Mining Moratorium in Place in 2012 Session
RICHMOND – Governor Bob McDonnell is asking the General Assembly to take no action to permit uranium mining during its 2012 session, calling instead for the continuation of the state’s moratorium on uranium mining pending a comprehensive and on-site study of the issue to be completed by a newly-created multi-agency state workgroup.
