Delegate Chris Peace Takes Oath of Office in “New” House Chamber

Richmond- In a ceremony today on the House Floor in the newly renovated Patrick Henry Building, Bruce F. Jamerson, Clerk of the House, swore in Delegate Christopher K. Peace, R-Mechanicsville, as the newest member and youngest member of the Virginia House of Delegates.

“It’s such an honor to serve in this body, to continue on the legacy of the fine men who have served before me” Peace said, “I am anxious to get to work on behalf of the citizens of the 97th District, and I look forward to providing them with the same commonsense conservative leadership that they’ve come to expect from leaders like Senator McDougle and Lieutenant Governor Bolling”.

Delegate Peace was elected in 2006 in a special election and represents portions of Caroline, Hanover, Henrico, King and Queen, King William, New Kent and Spotsylvania Counties in the 97th District in the Virginia House of Delegates.
